Check the units and programme

The label gives electricity in kWh per 100 cycles and water in litres per cycle for eco 40–60. These are weighted test values, not a promise for every load. Use the QR code to find the model’s product information in EPREL. Actual consumption depends on use; do not apply these units to a different label without checking it.

Worked example: electricity plus water

Illustrative values, not a real model or current tariff: 50 kWh/100 cycles, 50 litres/cycle, electricity €0.30/kWh and combined water and wastewater €6/m³. One cycle uses an estimated 0.5 kWh and 0.05 m³: €0.15 + €0.30 = €0.45.

Example data⁦(50 ÷ 100 × 0.30) + (50 ÷ 1000 × 6) = 0.45 EUR⁩

What the estimate leaves out

Use your bill’s volume-based prices, including applicable taxes consistently. This estimate excludes fixed charges, detergent, drying, maintenance and purchase cost. Different programmes and loads can change consumption. Keep measured results separate from label-based estimates.

Record monthly cost per wash

For this euro example, select EUR in Settings first. Keep label estimates in a separate profile from measured laundry costs so the app does not average them together.

For an illustrative month of 20 identical cycles, the total is €9. In Investigate → Cost per use → Record use and cost, select Custom unit, name it ‘wash’, and enter the same month, 20 units and €9. In the note, state that this is a label-based estimate and list the included costs. The app divides the entered total by the units; it does not read the label or count washes automatically.
